Welcome to the Diamondback Firearms discussion forum!
We hope you enjoy using the forum, and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Thanks!
-
Cool breeze, this is gunoil,, thanks for starting the db firearms forum.
-
What happened to DBtalk? Were all the posts lost/dumped?
-
Nobody seems to know where they went, so I'm guessing they're gone. Their hosting account has been suspended according to the page.
-
What a shame. Lots of good info there that we will have to re-post.
I have two DB9 and two DB380 pistols. One for my home in Hershey and one at my place in Cave Creek, AZ.
Welcome everyone.
-
We can build it back up guys and continue. And db-9 will be out @ shot show, the new one.
-
Om the plus side. It does get rid of a bunch of negative publicity too.
-
i still have all photos and stuff, we'll just keep going forward and we have a great admin who is knowledgeable bout pistols and is db owner. And we still have scott @ CS. And i have grip plugs for sale.
-
Thanks for the new link gunoil. I probably would not have found the site on my own.
-
glad your here. We gotta spread the word,
-
Well, at least we can still get up with ya, so u can walk up front and keep em straight.
-
Can anyone tell me what the stock recoil spring in the series 1 .380 is rated at. Produced in 2011.
Thanks

Glad you found us! Spread the word and y'all get busy submitting all the stuff you lost on the old forum(s). So many posts, so many pics, so little time before Obama taxes the internet. :main_lol:

hello again :)
from what I understand the admin from DiamondbackTalk had been discussing getting rid of it since last year, guess we start over.
gave DoggyDaddy this site address so he should be on soon
-
Kool LP79, glad we have a place.

This forum format seems a lot more friendly, IMO....
-
Yea. and admin is open to ideas, just hit him up! Hes a pc science retire'ee!

Diamondback's web site really needs some work- no magazines or other gun parts available for sale, the DB380 user manual schematic does not show any of the latest upgraded parts, like the newer extractor and what I call the Trigger Bar Reset Spring, etc. We shouldn't have to make a phone call to order simple parts. They should be available online.
-
the Dimond back Forum is really out dated. only one picture with the new tribal slide.
-
yep, ditto above post! Just like ruger lcp, l ordered 54$ of extras for my lcp the other day on my iphone. Good part is: tcp,lcp,p3at has many inner-changable parts. And i have some made out of steel and heat treated locally to get rid of MIM parts that "BREAK".
-
Yesterday, I ordered over $75 in parts from the Kel-Tec site. Diamondback is losing money right now, because you can buy hardly anything on its site.
-
LOL, I ordered parts from Keltec yesterday as well! You know, if you were to call DB and ask them for a part, they now tell you they can't sell any for "security reasons" that you'll need to wait until available on their website. If you ask them when will that be, they'll tell you they can't say because... you guessed it, "security reasons."
-
Yo! :main_wave5:
I knew I'd find the new home soon. Googled once a week. Let's get this party started :main_smiley_ncc: . My ZD380 has been solid since the trigger upgrade. It's always with me :main_thumbup_ncc: Serving Fiocchi Extrema XTP upon request.

I was under the impression that Diamondback is being sued. If they are, they will be very closed lipped about everything. Also, I was under the impression that Taurus has bought the company. If that is true, there will be more restrictions put in place. Correct me if I'm wrong on my impressions.
-
I think both are true. Kahr has apparently sued Diamondback. I would have thought it was Glock to use, but not so. I'm not sure what the Taurus acquisition means, but since that happened, Diamondback seems to have removed move of the item from their online store.
-
Whenever you have to deal with large corporations such as Taurus vs Diamondback, more lawyers get involved because of lawsuit worry. Smith and Wesson is an example. When they came out with their Poly Bodyguard .380, they had a lot of startup problems and getting an answer out of them was almost impossible. You can't buy parts from them although Galloway precision and Wolff Springs sell some aftermarket pieces. I hope this company doesn't go in the same direction.

A jury has found that Diamondback Firearms infringed upon patent #5502914 (http://www.google.com/patents?id=TJkeAAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4#v=onepage&q&f=false) that is held by Kahr Arms (Saelio Inc). The patent in question describes a striker and cocking mechnism invented by Kahr founder Justin Moon. Kahr made the following statement to the press when they filed the lawsuit in 2011 (http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2011/04/12/kahr-arms-files-lawsuit-diamondback-firearms/) …Kahr Arms, the award-winning manufacturer of compact pistols based in Worcester, Mass, is currently engaged in a patent infringement lawsuit against Diamondback Firearms, LLC, the maker of compact .380 ACP and 9mm pistols based in Cocoa, Florida.
Seven U.S. patents cover Kahr’s unique locking, firing and extraction systems. The incomparable cocking cam trigger system employs a patented cam to both unlock the passive safety and complete cocking and releasing of the firing pin. The system provides a “safe cam action” and unbelievably smooth double action only trigger stroke, fast to fire in critical defensive situations.
The court documents are embedded below.

according to member who works their:
1)suit has been over.
2)bobby did not sell dbf, he turned it over for them to pump it up worldwide. Sales quadroupled, so they say.
3) taurus is now selling parts kits for tcp380 only.
4) i have tcp and love it, and may keep it in great shape now that parts are available.
5) I've had 3 kahr's, to heavy, and p380 would not chamber HP's. I like sig938 better. Had cm9, was a tank and weighted bout that much.
-
Thanks for the info...did you get any idea if they are going to actually put parts for sale for the DB 380 via the internet site?
-
Maybe they will soon. They cant make em quick enough.
-
Hey I sure am glad there's a new Diamondback forum. Hello all...
