Title: 1st DB firearm purchase
Post by: K-BAR-D on March 13, 2019, 08:19:50 PM
I was looking for a .308 and ran across Diamondback products by chance. I liked everything about it but I wasn’t familiar with DB so avoided the initial purchase and went online to locate reviews and talk with friends about DB. Turns out none of my close friends have DB products but it caused them to start researching as well.
Ended up with the base model DB10CKMB. I have only ran about 100 rounds thru it, but it’s been flawless so far. A few of my friends are ready to invest in DB firearms now!!! :main_thumbs_2up:

Oh yeah- I’m new to the forum. Glad to be a member

Welcome!  :main_wave5:

I've been looking at a DB15 in 300 blackout.  You're not helping me stay away... :main_whistling:

I was leaning toward the 300 blackout upper for my old AR- but decided to go with the bigger platform in the 308. (But for the price of the DB 300 upper, I may need to invest in that!)

Now I'm not helping you!

I like the idea of the 300 BO because you get the punch of a 7.62 and can use the same mag and BCG of the AR15, but the 7.62x39 already drops a lot at 200 Yds.  The lower velocity 300 BO must drop even more.

The 308 has the 51mm case so I have to believe you get all the velocity you need, but you have to deal with larger mags and it's not really a easy gun to shoot, so is it only good for hunting hogs?  For what purpose did you get it?

Yeah man, I am not an avid shooter but I want to be an able to suppress the 308 and short subsonic rounds to help keep the sound down when SHOOTING HOGS!!  [ Invalid Attachment ]
So I learned the 223 and 300 BO rounds lose velocity when shooting suppressed. The 308 will still have a decent impact when suppressed.
I have about 33 acres in East Texas and the hogs are terrible... wanna have fun without all the friendly neighbors becoming unfriendly!

Look at all that Bacon!  :main_good:

I hear Texas and a lot of the South can't kill them fast enough to keep a lid on the population.  I'd like to try one of those helicopter shoots.  You can't do that with the AR huh?  Have to be at least the Blackout round?
