7.5 Barrel & Bullet Weight
« on: April 02, 2015, 06:52:39 PM »
I have suspected that lighter weight bullets would provide better accuracy in a 7.5 barrel. This morning I took three different loads up to the range to try out in my DB15-P. I took 69 gr BTHP's - 62 gr FMJ & 55 gr FMJ. Fired at 50 yds with a magnifier in back of my AimPoint. The 69 grainers were a match load for my AR target rifle. Forget 69 and up - crap accuracy. The 62's were much better. But the 55 FMJ's were the ticket and much more accurate. SO going with the lighter bullet thought , I might load up some 50's or even down to 40 grain bullets to try out.
