New owner here.
Picked up a new Ghost Grey FS a week ago for $275, $322 OTD including tax/background check. Haven't had a chance to get to the range yet but am looking forward to putting a few rounds downrange. What is the best recommended ammo for this? I planned on 115 gr FMJ RN for the range.
I also want to give a shout out to Diamondback Firearms. I didn't get an owners manual. It was missing from the case , which had broken hinges.
I contacted them and immediately they are sending me a new owners manual and were looking into the plastic case issue.

Good luck.

Thanks. What's your actual experience with the later model fixed front sight FS?
I read a lot of reviews and most were positive. To be honest, the worst reviews I've seen are on this forum.
Time will tell what becomes of this weapon.
I did load the magazine tonight a couple of times. Difficult from round 1-15 so I ordered a Maglula Uplula. Should make reloading a breeze.

Should be hitting the range this Monday and have a range report.

Because I heard the FS9 fit it. I purchased a Target Sports Tactical holster off Ebay. An Israeli Tactical Level II Holster for the S&W M&P, #1120HOL, which is darn near identical to the Fobus/ITAC Defense paddle holster but cheaper.
FYI. I doesn't "just fit". It has to be clearanced on the muzzle end or, do as I did, and remove the tapered end all together.
The trigger guard would affect the retention lock and sometimes it would lock but most times it wouldn't. I opened the area with my dremel so the trigger guard "point" would poke through. Now it works like a charm. I just need to clean up the edges with fine file.

For anyone considering this handgun.

Update on my FS9. YMMV.

Been almost 1 year since my initial purchase.

I have run 100's of rounds through my FS9 at the range.
Using FMJ 115 gr Winchester white box, Perfecta and Federal aluminum cased ammo I have not experienced a single FTF or FTE malfunction.

I did experience 1 issue with a roll pin walking out of the frame:

A drop of Locktite and I have not run into the issue again.

I puchased a 4 pack of mags from Diamondback and have no issues with the extra mags either.
I added a grip sleeve that makes the grip feel better.

I use this handgun as my EDC gun.
I load with Winchester 115 Gr. JHP for my carry magazine.
No feed issues.

I don't use the Serpa style paddle holster anymore. I've found I do not like the paddle style.
I also had a IWB Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe for a Glock 26 that fit the FS9.
I now carry in a OWB holster. A Galco FLETCH pancake w/thumb break or a Desantis Speed Scabbard pancake holster. Fitment for a Glock 26 seems to fit well.

All in all, I've had nothing but good experiences with the Diamondback FS9 and would recommend this to anyone.
