Been using hoppes no 9 forever. It cleans my pistols great but drives my wife's allergies crazy. Anyone have any suggestions on a milder smelling cleaner?

If my wife complains, I just hold up one of the many fingernail polishes sitting around the house that stink worse than Hoppes

I use Froglube. It's a grease type of green substance that's in a jar.

Try some of the synthetic cleaners and lubes on the market. As a firearms instructor for my department we recommend synthetic. Doesn't break down as fast and seems to work much better in ARs then traditional lube.

G96 is one of my Favorite oil/cleaner. The DB9 runs better when its dry. The mag does like a drop of oil on the front and back of the follower though.

Some people like the smell of Balistol, I think Hickok 45 does. I believe it has a non-petroleum base. I use it some, but not really a fan. Might help you out with your wife's allergies and get you by.
