I'm no expert, but the DB9 is a micro-compact, the DB9FS is a full size, so this should fit in between the two...just my thoughts on it.  (I had the same question so was looking into it)

Maybe a double stack compact?  That seems to be the gap in the lineup.

You can't get any more compact in a 9MM than a DB9 so I'm thinking the "sub compact" moniker is just a teaser.  From the photo it looks like the pistol has a Glock style safety trigger and maybe a seven round magazine.  The frame looks bulked up a bit, with a larger trigger guard.  The beaver tail is stubby and looks thicker.  Can't tell from photo if the gun is wider, but it doesn't make much sense to make a bigger DB9 for just one extra round, so I go along with the double stack suggestion.

While I'm guessing, the gun will probably cost about a hundred bucks less than a comparably sized Glock, come with one mag and you can buy a second mag from the online store for 25 bucks.  There will be no replacement parts available for at least six months.  I suggest including two mags, but it's hard to cut the competition a hundred bucks (or more) and include more than the bare necessities.

Now what would absolutely give me the have to have it Pandora's golden heebeejeebees, is if this turns out to be a DB 10mm pistol.  Doesn't look long enough in the slide, but a guy can dream, can't he?

Hope you all have a great weekend, Bill

I doubt it's a 10mm since the subject states DB9 sub compact...guess you will have to keep dreaming...  :main_Zzzz:
