First rounds through my DB15 10.5 pistol
« on: November 04, 2017, 08:39:51 PM »
Put 90 rounds through my new pistol and it was amazing. Wasn't as loud as I expected it to be and the recoil was actually better than I get with my compact .45 carry pistol. Only issue which wasn't really an issue was I had a mixed mag of wolf gold and tula steel case that didn't feed for the first round when it reached the tula and then again when it got back to the wolf gold. Both times when I charged the next round it ran those particular cartridges just fine. Both magazines full of the normal federal 55gr fmj ran flawlessly. Can't wait to get an angled foregrip and flashlight mounted (any suggestions would be much appreciated). Already have two new hexmags on their way. Definitely looking forward to getting back out to the range.

Nice Lookin Pistol!  Thanks for the ammo review too.  You already have an optic so only suggestions I can make is a trigger upgrade and Shockwave Stabilzer but thats really a matter of personal preference.  I also added a combo light/green laser to mine on the lower rail as it also acts as a handstop and cut a strip of rubber ladder rail cover to fit the rest of the lower rail instead of an Angled foregrip, the thin keymod forend is easy enough to hold onto for me.
Pistols - Diamondback DB9, Ruger LC9s, SCCY CPX-2, EAA Witness 9/22 Combo, all steel Canik Stingray, plus a 7.5" lightweight AR Pistol using a DB15P Upper/BCG and New Frontier Poly Lower
Long Guns - Diamondback DB15SB, plus a 22LR Upper, Maverick 88 12ga, HiPoint 995TS, Winchester 22

I had considered a new trigger although the one it has isn't too bad. Was looking at a cmc trigger, something not too pricey, but wouldn't mind suggestions.

I like Vortex, have a Strikefire on my 16" AR. That's a nice looking pistol.

Just finished building an AR pistol and hope to test fire it tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Best of luck to ya. What's that muzzle you're using? Was thinking of a different one, although the pineapple isn't so bad.

It's a Kak, picked it up since I was ordering the blade, spring, and recoiled tube from them.

Plus, directing flame and sound forward looked good to me. :) https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171122/3efe89ae2f0a665266d7583afa81be15.jpg

Decided to go with the ALG Act defense combat trigger.
