DB1065 issues...
« on: August 12, 2018, 07:57:47 PM »
Brand new 6.5 creedmoor is giving me problems out of the box. I'm running Hornady Black ammo, 140 grain. It fires 3 shots maybe, then the trigger doesn't reset. It feeds the bullet in and ejects the spent round, but I don't think the bolt is going back far enough to reset the trigger. The buffer spring is noticeably tight....the gun is 2 days old..wow

Update: I also ran 120 grain ELD Match ammo and it behaved WORSE, with only being able to get 1 shot per malfunction. I can definitely see that the bolt is NOT going back far enough with the 120 grain stuff.

Could be as simple as a misaligned gas block or more complex like a trigger fault or buffer issue. It's worth a trip back to DB to let them go through it. Yeah, it sucks, but you'll have good eyes and hands on it, so worth the effort.
