db380 v2 jams
« on: December 16, 2018, 11:28:32 PM »
I received this v2 db380 as a replacement for my original db380 after 200 plus rounds this handgun still jams , sometimes 3 or 4 times a mag . sometimes it cycles just fine . it is ALWAYS the edge of the shell catching the barrel ,

I love the style but just cant get comfortable as a backup anyone know something I can do . It has to cycle 100 rounds threw it with no jam before I can carry it as a backup .

I’m not jumping to any conclusions here, but a couple of things I am thinking about. How much experience do you have shooting? Are you sure you have a firm hold on the pistol when you are shooting?

No sure if it's your problem but a guy on YouTube shows where to grind/polish that lip down at the front of your barrel. Video below, it starts at the 8 minute mark.

My lcp has no problem shooting,  been shooting for 35 plus years I'm not an expert. I know how to shoot.

Anyone tried finishing that square piece at the bottom of the feed ramp? Does it resolve the FTF issue? Replacement +10 springs didn't fix my issue, but I do have the factory +1 magazine extensions.

I never polished that part on either of my pistols...no issues

I did mine this evening. I’ll try it out tomorrow. If it doesn’t work, I’ll go get a Glock 42.  I really like this gun. Shoots accurate and is comfortable, but can’t afford to have something unpredictable when it counts.

I sent mine back after they replace mag springs and modified the feed ramp (the square block) it fires flawlessly. I wished they would do this before they sale the firearm. They would not get a bad name.

I sent my GEN two to Diamondback because it had failed to fire and failed to eject issues. I’ve had it 4 years maybe longer. They said they’d fix it. They sent back my original frame, barrel and magazine. Everything else on the gun is now a GEN three including the slide. The gun runs flawlessly now.

Gen 1 had 2 pins by the trigger. Gen 2 had 3 pins. Gen 3 has a redesigned slide, longer ejector and different trigger pull.
