Mine came in today...Trigger feels nice a bit of up take up but nice
Sight are great...Glock style...Front is held on by screw (Big improvement)
Rear is Metal!...Grip texture feels way better than the raised cheese grater diamonds.
Captive recoil spring...No more having it fly across the room when disassembling.
Mag follower is orange and looks nicely done...Appears to be designed to help prevent nose dives.
1 magazine still...I asked and they said old mags would work but i cant see how slide lock would
work with old follower???...Hopefully mags will be available soon.
Slide lock is almost flush and will need a getting used to.

Overall very nice and lots of improvements....The proof is in the pudding and i plan on shooting
it this weekend....I will post a follow up then with a final verdict.  :main_smiley_ncc:

Sounds good. It appears that Diamondback listened to its critics and made many desired changes to the pistol. I am also wondering how the slide lock will work with older mags. I checked with Diamondback and they told me that the mags are interchangeable on the gen 4.  Would you know if the slide will lock after the last round in the mag is fired or if the slide lock is just a feature to lock the slide?
Thanks.

I am not sure but the old mags probably will work but i do not think they will make the slide lock back after last round...I think the old followers didn't have the step in them to catch the slide lock and push it up...I could be wrong so hopefully they see this and let us know.
I was told keep checking the website for the new mags.

I ordered a mag today from the Diamondback website. I’m not sure if I’m getting a newer version. I’ll call them tomorrow to find out.

I expect to have my gen4 on Thursday. Davidson’s shipped it to my ffl today. I hope to get to the range on Friday and I will post how it performs.

I contacted Diamondback and they confirmed that the slide does lock back  after the last round is fired; however they haven’t confirmed if it will lock back using an older mag. The mags that are offered on their website are the older version.

So I ordered mine today.  Won't matter if it takes a few extra days to get here, I'm headed to China early in the morning.  Will be gone about 10 days.  Told my FFL to just hold it till I get back.  Just makes the wait longer... :main_angry:

So if I order off of GOG, it looks like you do not pay a transfer free on top of the listed prices. So when I pick it up, I should only pay what they say I should pay the dealer. Is that correct?
