I was so excited to find this neat little gun for my 82 year old father.
We shot it 18 times and then the cylinder jammed.
The cylinder pivot is so loose on the crane arm that the cylinder jams.
Its so loose that when the cylinder is open for loading it crashes into the frame and has gouged the black coating off of the frame.

I have started the "warranty process" ..  We shall see.

Disappointed so far.. 18 shot and then failure.. COME on Diamondback!!

Hi klwinter2,

How is the warranty process going for you?
I have a similar issue and will be contacting Diamondback for guidance.

Thank you!

Hate to read such reports of what looks like a very cool pistol, but if they don't work then thanks for the heads-up.

Hi klwinter2,

I called Diamondback a week ago regarding my similar Sidekick cylinder issue, and was told to submit an on-line Service Request and someone from their gunsmith department would contact me with further instructions.

So I submitted the Service Request a week ago to start the warranty process, but nobody has contacted me yet.

It looks like you started the warranty process for your Sidekick cylinder issue back in April.

How is the warranty process going for you?

I experienced the cylinder wobble as well and have returned my sidekick at Diamondback’s expense. As requested I gave them my FFL info and they said that they will have to manufacture a new gun and I will receive it in 4-6 weeks. Communication with them has been pleasant. Hoping the new gun has resolved the issue.

Update my warranty process - I had the same cylinder lock issue.
Communication with Diamondback was pleasant.
-  I mailed the revolver back to Diamondback (Diamondback paid the postage).
-  They determined that repair was not the best option, and decided to mail me a new revolver.
-  I needed to provide an FFL since this new firearm would need to be transferred to me.
-  They provided a 4 - 6 week mailing estimate; however it was a little earlier than that.
-  Diamondback paid the postage to the FFL; however, I had to pay the FFL a $50 transfer fee.

Note - the replacement revolver was much better, and cylinder did not lock up. But the 22 LR cylinder did not align quite right, and would not close into place without physically pulling the ejector rod (retracting the cylinder pin). The 22 MAG cylinder works ok. I have not fired the revolver yet, although I assume it will shoot ok.
