I had one for a while when they first came out, but ended up selling it.  For some reason it just didn't feel right in my hand, and I wasn't very accurate with it.  Also, it printed a little more in my front pocket than I like.   Although my fear was unfounded, I also worried about pocket carrying with a partially cocked hammer.  Other than that, it was a well-made and reliable as any other LCP.

Speaking of the LCP, once I figured out that the partially cocked hammer on the LCP is safe to pocket carry, I bought a standard LCP.  For some reason it felt much better and more natural in my hand than the LCP II or Max.  So far I've got 50 rounds through it, including FMJ, Sig V-Crown and Federal Hydra Shoks, and it has been flawless.  Also, my accuracy from 7-10 yards is much better than it was with the Max, although I'm not sure why.

I think I'm ready to make it my new EDC here in my sleepy, basically crime-free area, and give my RM380 a rest.  I'm still working on breaking in my DB9, but so far it's been flawless as well.

I just liked the size of the max and 10 round capacity. Unfortunately it isn’t on my States approved roster so it might be difficult to find one……

Is the standard LCP on your approved roster?  I assume you must live in a state controlled by liberal Democrats. The whole concept of an "approved roster" is kinda foreign to those of us here in Missouri...no such nonsense here.  :main_smiley:

I live in Massachusetts, definitely not a 2A friendly state. In  My town things are different though in rural Western Massachusetts….only the 22 lr LCP is on the list. I was able to bring my DB and Glock into the state when I moved there. The roster applies to firearms that a dealer can transfer to a seller, hence it’s legal to bring in something not on the list provided it was legally purchased prior

So, could you buy a gun in a neighboring state, say Vermont, and bring it home legally?  I think it's interesting (and disheartening) to see how crazy some guns laws have become, and how much they vary from state-to-state.

Can’t buy a gun in Vermont if you are a Massachusetts resident

Yeah, that was a stupid question my part.  The same is probably true in most, and perhaps all states.

To those of you that have both, which 9mm pocket pistol do you prefer between the Ruger and the diamondback?

I've contemplated getting a DB9 for mainly pocket carry use but have looked at other small 9mm pistols that are just slightly larger than the DB9 and are priced similarly.

Hoping this isn't in the wrong thread.  Admin, just move it If it is.  Thx.
