Is this the same as the PX5 black oxide finish used on my FS9?
What was the original black coating used on the FS9 series?

Then the black nitride is a very nice coating...As was the original finish on my FS9 before the slide was replaced.

Nice video. The Sig P320 is doing something similar in that the Chassis is the serialized part and the frames are interchangeable and the slide and the barrel lengths. Is that something that Diamondback will be looking into in the future with this AM2 platform? So far, I'm impressed. Might just have to get one.

If the AM2 turns out to be a great shooter, which it appears to be, I think it will give the Sig P320 compact a run for its money. It should be smaller, floating between the size of the Sig P365 and the Glock 26. Yep, quite a difference between those two, but I think that's where it's going to reside. But... with a street price way below those two. I don't consider price that much when it comes to my carry guns. I've had expensive Rohrbaugh's that didn't run all that well and no fun at all to shoot, compared to my DB9's. Maybe no fun to shoot (for me because I'm old and a pussy) but I carry it alot! To be fair, I also carry a Glock 43, perhaps most of the time. It fits me well and easily enough to conceal. However, I do rotate to the DB9 when the weather improves and I'm in shorts, or when I just feel the need.  :main_cheesy:

Found out an interesting tidbit about the AM2

The AM2 and FS9 15 rnd. mags are interchangeable if mag release on left side is used on AM2 w/FS mag.

They seem to be running about $370 + fees around here.
